Owner & Designer

Helena Tsosie-Martin is the owner and designer of Morningstar Designs, a Native-owned business based in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.

 

How It Started

Her love of sewing began at the age of seven after receiving a Holly Hobbie sewing machine. Watching her mother sew inspired a lifelong passion for creating beautiful garments.

 

Experience

Helena creates custom Powwow regalia for dancers throughout the United States and Canada. Her work has also been featured at the PBR World Finals, New Mexico Entertainment Television, and LA Skins Fest, and she has won two fashion shows.

 

Today

She continues creating one-of-a-kind pieces designed around each customer's vision while honoring Native artistry and tradition.
